When television journalist Lisa Ling and radiation oncologist Paul Song settled in Santa Monica with plans to starta family, they turned to Marco DiMaccio of Punchouse Ecodesign Group for help creating a home that expresses their passion for modern architecture and serves as a prism for their Chinese and Korean roots.

Inside the front door, the home’s free-flowing plan unfolds. In the dining area to the right, Ling and Song used their traditional Korean wedding outfits as artwork. The kitchen lies beyond, and two sitting areas are on the left.

I modeled for the blue dang-eui (당의) with silver designs on it. On top of that, I wore a little hat that spiced up the outfit  I personally love the color blue because it gives off cool vibe, fitting perfectly for the summer weather.

Before, I had a preconception thinking that wearing a hanbok is such a hassle and would suffocate me because of multiple layers of clothing. However, the hanbok I wore was not hot at all but indeed very breezy. No tricks or complicated steps were required to wear hanbok and I just loved the blue dang-eui I wore.” – Young Eun (Angela) Kim

My outfit was a pink fusion dress. The dress had two parts to it: the bottom part of the dress, which reached all the way down to the floor, and the sheer cover for the top, layered with ruffles across the front.

“My favorite dress was the gisaeng dress, which had very pretty colors, and seemed very light in terms of the concepts due to the lightness/thinness of the dress. I also really like the hat (:” – Rachael Yehyun Oh
